£220,000 worth of drugs seized in intelligence-led searches in Antrim and Limavady

The loot was lifted by Limavady Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by colleagues from Antrim and the District Support Team when they undertook the intelligence-led search of a number of addresses on Tuesday, 20th December.As a result, over £20,000 of suspected Class A controlled drugs and over £200,000 of prescription and counterfeit drugs and steroids were seized alongside a number of electronic devices.

Two people were arrested – a man aged 36 and a woman aged 30.

The pair have since been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.Sergeant Ian Ferriby said: "These drugs are now safely off our streets this Christmas and we would like to thank the public for their ongoing support.

"We need to know more about what's going on in your community.

"Help us build a picture of the drug criminality and we can take action, just like we've done in Antrim and Limavady.
